She Waits... ----- Today is the Full Bloom of Life...

Heather Murray is a Canadian mixed media artist who is inspired and driven to create.
A simpler world is her vision …. Imagine a world where good hearts rule.

She cuts pastes, paints and assembles what moves her and captures her attention. Incorporating older, nostalgic imagery she conjures up a strange, familiar beauty when intersecting past with present themes . (She ponders-Do gentle messages passed through time still resonate in our souls?)

Collage and assemblage bring out the inner scavenger in her, and she savors discarded finds and utilizes found objects in new enticing ways. She graduated from the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto , Ontario and her roots stem from an editorial illustration background. History, politics, feminism, loss, sadness, hope, spirituality and humour are re occurring themes in her art. Heather currently creates in her studio in the Old Courthouse Arts Building/Owen Sound. Living rural for the first time is starting to have an influence on her work..

She continues to experiment and to play.
