ALAN KING: SOLO EXHIBITION OF MASSURREAL ART
The Peacock Gallery, Poole, 19 - 30 July
Room Of Illusion
The Djinn
Alan King will be exhibiting his particular
brand of Digital Surrealism at a solo show to be held at The
Peacock Gallery, situated in the grounds of Upton Country
Park in Poole, Dorset. Alan is a member of the Massurrealist
Movement, an evolution of surrealism that is strongly influenced
by mass-media and technology.
Drawing on his knowledge of computer and commercial design
techniques, processes and working methods, Alan King has developed
his own unique and recognisable style. Strong, bold, and rich
with colour, his vibrant and vividly surreal landscapes to
be exhibited at Upton Country Park bridge the gap between
surrealist imagery and New Media technique. A master of digital
artistry, King is able to capture and express the images seen
in his mind's eye as he surveys the landscape of his vivid
imagination.

WHAT THE CRITICS HAVE TO SAY
Alan Kings interest in the artists of the surrealist
movement combined with his love of architecture, lead him
to utilize the qualities of computer generated images to invent
bizarre, immeasurable environments which results in the creation
of strong vibrant alive and playful digital surrealism. Strong,
bold, and rich with colour, these digital images are extremely
well created.
