In a broad framework the majority of my work, manipulated through particular uses of colour and composition, portrays a psychological, emotive force, where the narative functions as a backdrop emphasising the psyche of the human condition. The intension, in seeking out emotional reactions, is to confront the viewer on a psycological level - to pierce the epidermis of our physicality in an attempt to penetrate our humanity.

Overall, I believe the work to be a representation of the times we are living in, which is an age of consumerism and hightened individualism. As an artist, it is important to question ideals, to contemplate on what we bear witness, and to examine our emotions. Painting is a complex surface of texture and colour which allows one to create another reality with intense emotional entagelments.
